Tara Tiedemann first came to Guatemala as a Peace Corps Volunteer in January 2010. She finished her service in February 2012 and from there opened her travel and tour company, Viva Adventures. She custom designs unique vacation experiences for her clients and focuses on high quality service from start to end. Before moving to Guatemala, Tara enjoyed a career in sales and marketing in the ski resort industry in Montana, Colorado, and Utah from 2001-2008. Tara currently lives in Antigua, Guatemala and enjoys writing, exploring new travel destinations, keeping active in her Guatemalan backyard, and keeping fueled with the fresh local cuisine.
