I grew up in Boston, Massachusetts, where my parents decided to emigrate. Though I grew up feeling a New Englander, my parents never ceased to talk about their home in Galicia, and their childhood and early years together. Every few years, we would come to Galicia on vacation for a month or two, and I loved to play with cousins, and being free to run through woods and fields. When they reached retirement age, they dragged me, an only child, back with them. I kicked and screamed, but in time grew to love this land, and formed a family here. I will always cherish my Boston childhood, but now I wouldn't give up living in Galicia for anything. It's my home. Please check out my Spanish Views blog. You can also reach me via email.
