Ms. Graff holds a BA in speech communications and English from Frostburg University and an MA in theater from Northwestern University. Lisa has taught high school English, Speech, and Drama as well as English as a second language in grades K-5 in Montgomery County, Maryland. She and her husband Ray retired in 2010 to Lewes, Delaware where she has been able to pursue her passion for writing. Over the years, Ms. Graff has published over 100 articles in newspapers and national magazines, including four personal essays in The Washington Post, and a weekly neighborhood news column in the Gaithersburg Gazette. Her essay, “Getting My feet Wet” was the nonfiction winner in the 2012 Rehoboth Beach Writer’s Guild/Delaware Beach Life Magazine contest. Her profile about artist and local resident Amie Sloan appeared in the October, 2013 issue of Delaware Beach Life Magazine. “Delaware…Little State, Bigg Treasure” about the Biggs Museum of American Art appeared in the February/March 2013 Issue of Shore Life Magazine.
