Hans (John) E. Scheil, CFP®, is the CEO of North Carolina-based Cardinal Retirement Planning, Inc., and the author of “The Complete Cardinal Guide to Planning for and Living in Retirement.” In his book, “The Complete Cardinal Guide to Planning for and Living in Retirement,” John addresses the major problems retirees can face and provides simple strategies that can be put in place with the help of a qualified professional. John is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional (CFP®) as well as a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), Chartered Financial Consultant®(ChFC®) and Chartered Advisor for Senior Living® (CASL®). He also holds life and health insurance licenses in all 50 states and the District of Columbia and is an investment advisor representative. John’s career began at the age of 18, when he sold insurance while attending college full time, and his years in the insurance industry included positions as a Branch Manager, National Sales Director, and Senior Vice President for several nationally recognized insurance companies. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University (1980) and a Master of Science in Management from The American College (2007). John resides in Cary, North Carolina, with his wife, Ronda, and their two sons, Patrick and Stu. He is involved locally with StepUp Ministries and the Alzheimer’s Association.
