Author: G Barlow

Gordon Barlow left Australia in 1963, as a newly qualified accountant. He subsequently worked in London, Toronto and Nassau, Bahamas, where he and his new wife became so rich that they retired. Intending to live the rest of their lives in the hippy haven of Crete, they took time off to prepare themselves by investing in stocks and shares, with predictable results. They subsequently went back to work, this time in Vila, Vanuatu. There they became so rich that they traveled with their new baby for a year in a Kombi Van in Europe, before (sigh!) subsequently going back to work, this time in Grand Cayman in the Caribbean. Today, they’re semi-retired there, in their 70s, with a son in Norway and three wonderful grandchildren who don’t speak English. For the past twenty years he has been a vocal critic of the local political scene, first as a newspaper columnist and more recently as a blogger.
