I am a retired teacher and university professor. My husband is a retired college swim coach. Our son works as an interpretive naturalist in Yosemite National Park and he has developed interpretive cultural programs for the indigenous community of Los Ramos on Ometepe Island. Once teachers..always teachers. We are all actively involved in education on the island...my husband teaches swimming lessons, I have a mobile lending library for the elementary schools, and our son has been actively involved in developing sustainable tourism programs. The photo is of our son, Cory, his fiance, Tina, and Ron and I after volunteering on Ometepe Island at the Fuego y Agua Ultra Marathon. We were featured on an episode of House Hunters International in 2013 on HGTV. Join us in our adventures on Ometepe Island. Check out my Rewired and Retired in Nicaragua website.
